Introduction
Next Generation Systems (Pvt) Ltd. is a high-tech company incorporated in October 2003 in accordance with the Companies Act of Zimbabwe. The company started working on establishing trading relationships with key prospects in the elecommunications and IT industries in March 2004.
Previously trading as Discovery Communication Systems (Pvt) Ltd, we have taken cognizance of the convergence of information technology and telecommunications into one, and as such, have continued to bring in new products into our portfolio. From humble beginnings of selling cartridges and computer consumables, the company is gradually becoming a household name in the distribution of broad ICT products and services alike. We distribute products and services in the areas of telecommunications, networking, computer hardware and software, LAN and WAN installations and maintenance and software support, to mention but a few. Our company is a member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe since the Year 2004 and in all our business practices; we are guided by the Society’s code of ethics.
Currently, the company employs one Executive Director, four key
personnel on a permanent basis and six people who are short-term contracts. We believe in a lean and efficient team but will keep our eyes and ears open to task and market demands and respond accordingly.

Corporate Governance. Directors & Shareholders
The company has directors with different backgrounds and skills to take the company to greater heights. Within a period of five years from 2019, we intend to invite a couple of institutions to take a stake in the organization and eventually list on the stock exchange. The current directors are listed below:
Abel Toronga: Chief Executive Officer
Shareholding : 80%
Abel is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Communication Systems (Pvt) Ltd, which later changed its name to Next Generation Systems (Pvt) Ltd after partnering the other directors below in early 2014. An accomplished administrator, Abel has over 22 years in Marketing and Business Development, inclusive of Financial and Operations Management. He worked for TA Holdings, Delta Corporation, Kubi (Pvt) Ltd, Africa Online and Africom (Pvt) Ltd in various capacities as a Senior Manager. Abel was the brain behind the e-touch concept in Zimbabwe. He planned, deployed and became the first Chief Operating Officer for an IP based public network in Zimbabwe during his
stint with Africom. Abel has several Marketing and Business Management qualifications and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. He is a full member of ZIM, IAC and IMM. Coupled with his leadership skills, he brings and imparts a wealth of knowledge and managerial guidance to the Next Generation Systems (Pvt) Ltd team.
Silvia Toronga : General Manager
Silvia is a co-founder and currently the General Manager of Next Generation Systems (Pvt) Ltd. Silvia is a qualified administrator who joined Next Generation Systems as an Executive Director, having an undertaken her administrative and secretarial studies at Trust Academy. She comes in with a lot of entrepreneurial skills gained over a period she was running her clothing business on a full time basis for four years. Silvia had to close her clothing business to join her husband in setting up and running Next Generation Systems (Pvt) Ltd. She is playing an instrumental role in the company’s administrative systems and procedures managing the HR function of the company.
Key Personnel
Clarence Franklin Morgan Nsangwe: Systems Engineer
Clarence is a technical powerhouse with massive experience hardware support, services and repairs, troubleshooting, installation and configuring wired or wireless network devices, installation and configuration of MS products, to mention but a few. He has worked with SCO UNIX, LINUX, NT and MS servers amongst others. Clarence is a holder of Microcomputer Technology Diploma, Data Communications and Networking Diploma and several in-house training certificates. Amongst his proud clients are CAPS Holdings, ZBS, QV Pharmacies, NetOne and Delta Corporation.
Peter Makiwa: IT Administration Consultant
Peter was an IT and Marketing manager at Brickstorm Holdings where he planned, coordinated, and directed research and facilitated the I.T-related activities of the company. He is also currently an Applied Information Technology Lecturer at the University Of Zimbabwe School Of Technology. Peter is a specialist in planning and coordinating activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design, development of computer networks, and implementation of Internet and intranet sites. Peter’s training and qualification is in the area of Engineering (Electrical Engineering Honours UZ) it has given him an astute understanding of issues in Electronics and I.T. His background in leading organisations has also given him a good standing as it pertains to his technical understanding.
James Hamudikuwanda : Finance and Administration Officer
James is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Degree from ZOU and a Diploma from the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe (AIOBZ). He worked for the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe for a period of six (6) years as a ManagerBanking Operations. He brings a wealth of experience in Accounting, Finance and Banking, attributes that benefit our company and its stakeholders. James also worked for National Tyre Services as an Assistant Accountant (Treasury Officer) where he gained experience and exposure in the accounting department. At Next Generation Systems, James is in charge of all Finance and Administrative functions of the organization.
Lovemore Rukarwa :Trainee Sales Representative
Lovemore is a new, young, highly motivated and results driven gentleman. He is currently undergoing on-the-job training in sales and marketing. Lovemore is an effective communicator with good interaction skills. Since joining the company in November 2019, Lovemore is gradually demonstrating an impeccable ability to work individually and as team member. He is very focused and is willing to learn new things and gaining experience in more sales-related areas so as to boost his carrier.
